Insurance Plans We Work With

We are in-network with most major commercial insurance providers. The plans we most commonly work with include:
If you don’t see yours listed, submit the form or call us; there’s a good chance we can still work with your coverage.
We do not accept Medicaid, Medicare, or supplemental insurance policies.

What Does Insurance Actually Cover for Rehab?

Coverage varies by plan, but most commercial insurance policies provide meaningful benefits for addiction and mental health treatment. Here’s what is commonly covered:

Medical Detox

Most plans cover medically supervised detox because it is a medically necessary service. This includes monitoring, medication management for withdrawal symptoms, and 24/7 clinical oversight.

Residential / Inpatient Treatment

Inpatient rehab is typically covered when it is clinically appropriate — meaning when a lower level of care would not be sufficient to safely treat the condition. Our clinical team documents medical necessity carefully to support insurance approvals.

Dual Diagnosis and Mental Health Treatment

Under the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, commercial insurers are required to cover mental health and substance use treatment at the same level as physical health treatment. If your plan covers hospitalization for a physical condition, it must comparably cover inpatient mental health and addiction treatment.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

FDA-approved medications used in addiction treatment are generally covered under pharmacy and medical benefits, though specifics vary by plan.

Therapy and Clinical Services

Individual therapy, group therapy, psychiatric evaluation, and medication management are all commonly covered clinical services under behavioral health benefits. The best way to know exactly what your plan covers is to let us check it for you. That’s what the form above is for.

What Happens After You Submit the Form?

We offer the full continuum of care men need to safely detox, stabilize, heal, and build the foundation for lasting recovery.

Step 1 — We Call Your Insurance Provider

Within a few hours of receiving your form, a member of our admissions team calls your insurance company directly.

We ask the specific questions that matter: What’s your deductible? What’s your out-of-pocket maximum? Is prior authorization required? What levels of care are covered and at what percentage?

Step 2 — We Translate the Answer Into Plain Language

Insurance language is deliberately complicated. We’ve been doing this long enough to know what the answers actually mean for you. We’ll call you back and explain your coverage in plain terms — what’s covered, what you’d be responsible for, and what your realistic out-of-pocket cost looks like.

Step 3 — We Help You Decide What’s Next

Whether you’re ready to admit today, still gathering information, or not sure treatment is the right step yet — we’ll meet you where you are. There’s no pressure to commit.

Our job is to make sure you have the information you need to make the best decision for yourself or your loved one.

What If My Insurance Doesn’t Cover Everything?

Insurance rarely covers 100% of treatment costs. Deductibles, co-insurance, and out-of-pocket maximums all affect what you’ll pay. Here’s what we want you to know:
Call us or fill out the form. We’ll figure it out together.

Frequently Asked Questions About Insurance and Rehab

Does insurance cover drug and alcohol rehab?
Yes — in most cases. The Affordable Care Act classified substance use disorder treatment as an essential health benefit, which means most commercial insurance plans are required to include coverage for addiction treatment. The extent of coverage varies by plan, which is why verifying your specific benefits matters.
The fastest way is to submit our insurance verification form or call us directly at (XXX) XXX-XXXX. Our admissions team will call your insurance provider and get the specific details of your coverage, then explain them to you in plain language. It’s free and takes a few hours.
Prior authorization (also called pre-authorization or pre-certification) is approval from your insurance company before treatment begins. Many plans require it for residential or inpatient treatment. Our admissions team handles the prior authorization process on your behalf — you don’t have to navigate that yourself.
A high deductible means you’ll pay more out of pocket before insurance kicks in fully. We’ll walk you through exactly what your deductible means for your treatment costs and what you’d be responsible for. Some families have already met part of their deductible through other medical expenses earlier in the year, which can significantly reduce costs.
Yes. All information you share with us is protected under HIPAA and treated with complete confidentiality. We will never share your information with anyone other than your insurance provider for the purpose of verifying your benefits, without your explicit consent.
Call us anyway. We’ll have an honest conversation about what options exist. We do not want cost to be the reason someone doesn’t get help.
No. Serenity Park does not accept Medicaid, Medicare, or supplemental insurance policies. We work with most major commercial insurance plans. If you’re unsure what type of coverage you have, call us and we’ll help you figure it out.
